Mervin Joseph Charlet, 69, a native of Donaldsonville and resident of Brusly St Martin passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017.Mervin enjoyed traveling, camping, riding his bike and 4-wheeler, their cat Sadie and spending time with family and his buddies. He was also a Vietnam Veteran who loved and took pride in his country. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Corine Rousseau Charlet; three daughters, Connie Charlet Smith (Jeffrey Paul), Christine Charlet (Richard Wagner) and Rebecca Charlet Sagona (Chris); one son, Chad Charlet (Melissa); six grandchildren, Olivia Hahn, Ross Boudreaux, Jake David, Amanda Sagona, Carson Charlet and Camden Charlet. He is preceded in death by his parents, Euzelien and Anita Albarado Charlet. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 5pm until 9pm at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville. Visitation will resume at the Brusly St Martin Chapel on Thursday March 23, 2017 from 8am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Burial to follow in church cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Brian Higgins and staff, and the entire staff at Baton Rouge General on Bluebonnet.
