Michael Edmond Greenwaldt, 55, a resident of Baton Rouge passed away on Wednesday, November 8th, 2017 in Sonora, TX. Mike was born August 9, 1962 in Canton, Ms. He was an avid sportsman and was enjoying his annual hunting trip with a dear friend. Mike lived his life to the fullest in everything he did. A graduate of Canton Academy and the University of Southern Mississippi with a BS degree in Business Administration, Mike decided on his career at an early age as he worked alongside his father and brother at Greenwaldt Auto Parts. After graduation from college, he accepted a District Manager position with WIX Filtration in Louisiana serving several states. In his 30-year career, Mike achieved outstanding sales performance awards for many years and was National District Manager of the Year for 1992. He is survived by his wife of 33 years Lisa Gulledge Greenwaldt of Baton Rouge, sons Michael Rimmer of Baton Rouge, Cory Edmond of New Orleans, his mother Elaine Wren Holloway of Byram, MS, nieces Mary Reel of Flowood, MS and Amanda Kauffman of Tallahassee, FL. Also survived by Uncle Tommy Wren of Union, MS, Aunt Barbara Greenwaldt Wren of Pearl, MS, and several cousins. Preceded in death by his father Calvin Rimmer Greenwaldt, Jr, brother Calvin Alan Greenwaldt, grandparents Edmond A and Ruby H Wren, Calvin Rimmer and Nell B Greenwaldt. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Sunday, November 12th and 1-hour preceding 11:00 AM services on Monday, November 13th at Breeland Funeral Home, Canton, MS. Interment will be in the Canton Cemetery.

I was very saddened to hear of Mike's passing. While it has been more years than I care to tell since I saw him last, I remember him as a funny and very kind soul. My heart-felt condolences to his wife and family for such a tragic loss. Prayers.
