Entered into eternal rest at her residence in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. She was 87 years old and a native of Woodville, Mississippi. Visiting at Greater King David Baptist Church, 222 Blount Road, Thursday, August 6th, 2015, from 8:30 a.m. until religious service at 11:00 a.m., conducted by Pastor John E. Montgomery II. Interment in Winnfield Memorial Park, 7227 Plank Road. She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters, Gloria and Maple Bethley, Glenda Veal (David), two sons, Frank Bethley, Joe A. Bethley III (Brenda), all of Baton Rouge, La. One granddaughter, Robin Hills (Kenneth), and two great, great grandchildren, Jaden Kelly and Arihanna Norwood whom she reared. Three sisters, two brothers, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, eighteen great, great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Clinton Palmer and Helen Lane; three daughters, Mamie, Hattie and Oretha Bethley, one son, Perry L. Bethley, one granddaughter, Treshawna Givens, one grandson, Frank Givens and one great, great grandson, Joe A. Bethley V.; and former husband, Joe A Bethley, Jr. Arrangements by Winnfield Funeral Home.
