The kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of precious, priceless pearls. When he found one, he sold everything he had and bought it. (Matthew 13:45-46). Our precious, priceless "Mother Pearl", "Granny Pearl", and "Great Granny" Pearl Achee Callender passed away peacefully on Monday, August 7th, 2017; three weeks short of her 93rd birthday. Pearl was a faithful child of God, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born in Lakeland, LA on August 30, 1924 and was a lifelong resident of Port Allen. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you enjoy a family outing together, bless someone in need or donate to , in memory of Mom. Special thanks to all the staff and caregivers at Nottingham Regional Rehab Center and In-His-Care Hospice Services who provided unending love and assistance to our Mother.
