Entered into etenal rest April 2, 2013 in Baton Rouge, La. where she died peacefully. She was 61 and a native of Belle Rose, La. She was a retired school teacher with the Assumption Parish School System with 35 years of devoted services. Not only did she enjoy teaching her students, she also sponsored and coordinated the Assumption High School Dancing Fillies and Junior-Senior Prom. She was also a member of the American Legion Post # 585 and The Krewe of Shaka Carnival Club in Thibodaux, La..Memorial services on Friday, April 5, 2013 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at St. James United United Methodist Church, 140 Hwy 998, Belle Rose, La.. Funeral Services on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Greater Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, 926 St. Patrick Street, Donaldsonville, La. beginning at 2:00pm. Burial in St. James Cemetery in Belle Rose, La. Visitations on Saturday from 10:00am to funeral time at the church. Survived by her mother, Hilda Brown August of Belle Rose, La.; 2 daughters, Adrienne Davis LeBlanc (James) of Belle Rose, La. and Andrea Davis Dents (Derick,Sr.) of Baton Rouge, La.; 1 sister, Barbara August Jones of Bertrandville,La.; 5 brothers, Louis August, Jr., Rev. Phillip August, Sr. (Roslyn) all of Donaldsonville, La., Eric August (Alice) of St. James, La.,Rudy August, Sr. (Dannette), Randy August,Sr.(Joyce) all of Belle Rose, La.. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
