Randolph Richard "Randy" Cassidy, 64, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017. Randy was born on May 6, 1952 in Bogalusa, Louisiana.  He moved to Baton Rouge and was a graduate of Lee High School.  He then graduated from Louisiana State University in Construction Technology.  He was the founder and President of R.R. Cassidy, Inc., which he started in 1983. His employees, equipment, and yard were his pride and joy. Randy had an amazing career building and completing projects across the country. He would always say that R. R. Cassidy, Inc. could go anywhere and do anything because the company had the best people.  Randy was a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather, boss and friend. His passions were work and family. He tackled both with all of his heart. He enjoyed telling a story, and with each came his laugh which could shake the room. He was a larger than life figure who created memories for all he encountered. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rebecca Jane Bolton, his three boys Randolph "Bo" Bolton Cassidy, Ben Rafferty Cassidy and Cullis Ashton Cassidy, daughters-in-law Melanie Vega Cassidy and Mary Colvin, and five grandchildren Keller Randolph Cassidy, Claire Marilyn Cassidy, Connor Randolph Cassidy, Madeline Marie Cassidy and Mayme Ellen Cassidy. He is also survived by his sisters Connie Abboud and Chris Bella, brothers-in-law Charlie Abboud and Patrick Bella, and mother-in-law Beulah "Boo Boo" Bolton. Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church.  Funeral mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. A reception will take place after mass in the St. Aloysius Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to St. Aloysius School. I am but waiting for you. For an interval. Somewhere. Very near. Just around the corner. All is well.
