After a brief illness, Regina Francois, 68 years old, passed away peacefully at home in Miami Beach, Florida on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 with her loving husband and best friend of 46 years at her side. She is survived by husband- Wilbert Francois Jr., daughter- Carmen Francois, son- Joachim Abdul Francois, stepson Derrick Williams, her mother, her sister, 5 grandchildren, and a large large group of family and friends. She was an eternal adventurer. She left Germany in 1972 where she worked as a midwife, moved to Louisiana, obtained an architectural degree from Southern University, and held jobs in nursing, architecture, and drafting. Her latest adventure took her to South Beach Miami in 2000 where she took on an artist's life, including daily swims and walks at the beach to see each sunrise, with her ever growing group of close beach friends. She also started her massage therapy and colon hydrotherapy practice in 2004, which she maintained until last year, a job and business which she loved every day. The family plans to hold a memorial service in Miami and a memorial service in Baton Rouge, at a date still to be determined.

Dear Mr. Wilbert Francois,
we offer our condolences to you and to all your family for the decease of your wife Regina. My husband and I are former neighbors of the Cornelsen family in Nuremberg and we had the occasion to meet you with Regina, Abdul and Carmen about 30 years ago. We met Regina again some years ago when she was visiting her parents during the Christmas season and we were very dismayed when our former neighbor Walter Kieselbach let us know the sad news.
God bless you and your family.

Sending my prayers and condolences.
I worked with Regina several years ago. Regina lit up the room with her bright smile, larger than life personality and adorable accent.
