Richard "Rick" Scott Ziegler, age 59, died on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Ochsner Medical Center, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana and a native of Baltimore, Maryland. Rick is survived by his loving wife, Meredith "Kay" Frosch Ziegler, her children, and grandchildren, his daughters, Michelle Ziegler, and Christine Ziegler, granddaughter, Tara Herring, mother, Rosalie Taber Zillig, and her husband, David Zillig, aunt, Suzy Fair, and father, Richard E. Ziegler. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Robin Ziegler and Keith Ziegler, also his four legged "son", Roux. Rick was loving husband, father, and son. Rick relocated from Maryland to Louisiana following Hurricane Katrina helping provide housing for volunteers working to restore New Orleans. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rick's name to Ochsner's Multi-Organ Transplant Center. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, LA from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Please leave condolences at www.sealefuneral.com.

I am sick that I can't be there. I grew up with Ricky and he was a silly, terrific cousin. He teased me mercilessly sometimes but I always ended up looking up to him. Rest in peace my dear cousin. The world is less without you.
