Robert "Bobby" Gordon Evans, 57 of Maurepas, passed away with family by his side at the Lady of the Lake Hospital on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at 8:30 p.m. He was born Friday, July 15, 1960, in Gonzales, La., to the late Marie Antoinette Tillett and Paul Buford Evans Sr. Robert Evans served in the United States Air Force and was a graduate of ITI Technical College. He worked as an Instrument Technician since 1987. He was very passionate about cars and had a particular love for Antique cars. Robert married his first love, Margaret Marie Evans, on November 1, 1979; they later divorced but remained very close friends up until his passing. Robert was very fortunate in having his best friend Ken DeVillier by his side since 1991. Robert will be remembered for his wit, crazy sense of humor, delicious Cajun cooking, the special bond he had with his two dogs Cammie and Blacky, but most of all the undeniable connection and love he shared with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his four children Dana (Josh) Debruyn, Barbara (David) Romero, Dustin (Miranda) Evans, and Brett (fiancée Nicole Madrid) Evans. Eleven grandchildren Angel, Nevaeh, Carlos, Dominick, Cadence, Hailey, Jayden, Jax, Jace, Carter and Bentley. He is survived by his three siblings Saundra (Evans) Elkins, Barbara (Evans) Gresham and James Murphy Evans. He was predeceased in death by his two siblings Paul B. Evans Jr. and John Wade Evans. He is survived by his two best fury friends Cammie and Blacky "Buckwheat". He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, his two dogs and all who knew him. Viewing will be Monday, November 20, 2017, at 10 a.m. Church service at 12p.m. at Sorrento Baptist Church, Sorrento La. Any flowers or donations may be sent to Sorrento Baptist Church.
