Rodney "Rod Knocker" Brashier of Ethel, left this earth peacefully on Jan. 10, 2017. He was a hard working man and proud father and grandfather. His is survived by his mother, Lucille Brashier, daughter, Brandi Brashier, son, Brett "Bert" Brashier and fiancee', Taya Owens and the ultimate joy of his life, Kye Brashier. He is also survived by siblings, Karen Williams, Shari Hobgood, Bari Jarreau, Tammy Cedotal and Kirby Brashier. He also left behind his beloved pets, RJ and Roxi. He is preceded in death by his father, Clovis "Dookie" Brashier, grandparents, Robert and Edna Brashier and Hosea and Amy Rogillio. Visitation will be at Redwood Baptist Church, Slaughter, on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017 from 9 am until service at 11 am conducted by Rev. Marc Gregorie and Rev. Rusty Bowser. Burial will be in Redwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kirby Brashier, Jonathan Booty, Wes Hutchinson, Coy Hobgood, Aaron Brashier and Mike Jarreau. Honorary pallbearers will be Brett Brashier and Johnny Booty. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center or Redwood Cemetery Fund, PO Box 247, Slaughter, LA 70777. Rodney I miss you so much and so does Axel, who will he bark at now? Who will I bring Red Beans and Rice to? To the rest of the family I am so sorry for your loss and for what has happened to Aunt Lucille. I love you all.
