A resident of Brusly and a native of Rosedale, Miss., he died on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at age 67. Visiting at Grant's Westside Funeral Services, Port Allen, on Friday, Nov. 20, from noon to 4 p.m. Visiting at Israelite Missionary Baptist Church in Brusly on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 9 a.m. until service at 11:30 a.m., conducted by Elder George C. Pierce. Interment in the church cemetery. Survived by his wife, Joann Davis, of Brusly; a daughter, Crystal Davis Dugas and husband Jerome Jr., of Baton Rouge; three sons, Londriell Davis, of Baton Rouge, and Cedric and Dedric Davis, both of Brusly; a daughter-in-law, Melva Jean Davis; two brothers, Henry Davis and wife Cindy, of Rockford, Ill., and Jimmy Davis, of Mankato, Minn.; seven grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
