A resident of Baton Rouge, died at 1:05 PM on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at his home. He was born November 8, 1927 in Amite and was 86 years of age. Survived by wife, Wanda M. Davis; 1 daughter, Kathy Davis Causey; 1 son, Stanley Finch Davis III; 1 step son, Randy Mounce; 4 grandchildren, Christopher Causey, Rhett Causey, Sanders Davis and Sydney Davis. Preceded in death by parents, Stanley and Lucille "Vi" Davis; daughter, Lynn Lucille; 2 brothers, Wilson and Conner Davis and a sister, Everlyn Davis de'La Barre. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 10AM until religious services at 2PM,Monday, May 12, 2014. Services conducted by Bro. John Fulda. Interment Mulberry Street Cemetery, Amite. My sincere sympathy to the members of Stanley's family. As one of his friends from childhood I have such warm memories of a young man with many many friends. He was a leader in High School ahead of my class and one we looked up to for good reasons. May he rest in peace.
