A resident of St. Amant and retired operator with the Ascension Parish Public Works Department, he passed away on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009. He was 75 and a native of Lobdell. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Wednesday, Feb. 4, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Thursday in the chapel from 11 a.m. until religious service at 2 p.m. Interment in Richardson Cemetery, St. Amant. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Ann Guedry Albritton; two daughters, Shanell Marie Albritton and Angel Lynn Albritton; four sisters, Evelyn Mercer, Christine Alexis, Judy Wallock and Hester Montgomery; and three grandchildren, Orey Klein, Cameron Bourque and Chloe Cannon. Preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Edna Bonaventure Albritton; three sisters, Barbara Newmons, Ella Mae Binnings and Bonnie Mae Guist; and brother, Clyde V. Albritton. He loved fishing, hunting and gardening.
