It is a loss for our community to lose such a great person, just as it was a great blessing to have her with us for so many years. She was as loving and dear to my family as she could be and a bright spot at our church services for many years. She made my children feel special each time she saw them. It was an honor that she trusted me with her medical care for many years and made us all smile every time we saw her. A life lived well and a benefit to us all. She will smile down on us all for eternity. Sincerely,Bill Black

Miss Sue was an amazing woman, so gifted and full of energy, the type who inspires others and brings joy to others. I'm so happy to read that she recieved such well-deserved awards. As a student in Amite High, in Pres's class and one grade below Bonnie Sue, I was always amazed at Miss Sue's abilty to create themed stage shows for us to have the opportunity to perform in, to act, sing, dance. She was brilliant and creative. She would read poetry she wrote with warmth and humor. I wondered, "How does she do it?" I knew then she was a great talent. I know she touched others in many ways, but this is my memory of her and I am so grateful for all the opportunities and entertainment she gave us when I was in high school. ~Annette Girgenti Lane

My prayers are with Sue's family- The last time I talked with Sue was 2013; my mother Deanie Teague, Sue's friend and "SLU Director," died in August. The "Ludie" poster is framed and still hanging in celebration of a marvelous and endearing play. I am so sorry for your loss. Sue was a talented, gracious, and endearing lady. May God strengthen and comfort you.
