Whitney Christy Obituary

A native of Paincourtville and a resident of Donaldsonville. He passed away at 7:52 a.m., Friday, June 15, 2018 at Nottingham Regional Rehabilitation Center in Baton Rouge. He was 57. Visiting at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, 621 St. Patrick Street, Donaldsonville on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 9:30 a.m., until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., conducted the Rev. Desmond Ohankwere, MSP. Recitation of the rosary at 10:00 a.m. Entombment in Ascension Catholic Mausoleum in Donaldsonville. Survived by his wife of 33 years, Monique Lemann Christy. His daughter and namesake, Whitney Marquette Christy. His mother, Sylvia Jones Christy. Sisters: Diannne Christy and Wanda (Clifford) Arnold. Brothers: Don (Elaine) Christy, Jr., Nathan (Denise) Christy and Camille (Josephine) Christy. Sister-in-law: Mary Darlene (Bruce) Williams. His brother-in-law: James Lemann, Jr., numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his father: Don Christy, Sr. His daughter: Marquita Dar'Lynn Christy. Cool Breeze as he was known to many was a great person who was kind and loving. You fought a good fight for many years Whitney but the battle was not yours....it was the Lord's. Remembering you will bring many smiles ....especially to those who really knew you...rest my dear friend !!
