Entered into eternal rest at Nottingham Regional Rehabilitation Center on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. He was a 67 year old native and resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Visitation at Shiloh Missionary B.C., Friday, February 17, 2017 from 10 am until service at noon, conducted by Rev. Fred Jeff Smith; interment at Southern Memorial Gardens. Survivors include his son, Gerald Coleman, Baton Rouge; sisters, Erma (Henry) Brown, Lillie Coleman, Dorothy C. Lee and Imogene (Roland) Scott, all of Baton Rouge and Bonnie (Henry) Alford, Zachary, Louisiana; brothers, Harry (Rita) Coleman, III and Earl (Katina) Coleman, all of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Carlton Allen and La'Cindy Turner, Baton Rouge; great-grandchildren, Ha'Kia Profit, Baton Rouge and Ky'Lon Turner, Charlotte, North Carolina; Goddaughter, TeMeisha Mackey; a special host of aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; preceded in death by his parents, Harry Coleman, Jr. and Gloria Jackson Coleman; son, Michael Coleman; sister, Harriet Lois Coleman; grandson, Gerald Penny; paternal grandparents, Harry and Julia Coleman; maternal grandparents, Olden and Maebell Jackson.
