A beautiful Christian life drifted away from us Friday, March 29, 2013. Mrs. Willie Mae Anderson Braudy, "Bobbie" to family and friends, was born May 17, 1917, in Centreville, Miss. She married James "Peter" Braudy on January 8, 1946, and they shared more than 46 years together. She raised one son, Alphonzo Massey Sr. and assisted in the rearing of Sharon H. Dunbar and Renee Howard. She will forever be remembered and loved by those who survive her: her son, Alonzo; a sister, Elizabeth Drisdell; grandchildren, Suzanne Massey, Alisha Massey, Antoinette Henry, Willie Nicole Henry and Patrick Henry, and all of their children, her great-grandchildren; her godchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, a brother and two grandsons. Visitation will take place Friday, April 5, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 1st Pilgrim Calvary MBC, Hwy. 73, Geismar. Religious service on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements by Lawson-Rollins Purple Shield Funeral Home, Gonzales, (225) 647-2780.
