Wilma Chauvin passed away at her home in Denham Springs on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the age of 93. She was a loving, generous and honorable woman of faith, who adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her 3 children Jean Crain (Jimmy) Mobile, Alabama, Ann Guileyardo (Tiney) Denham Springs, La. and Roger Chauvin, Denham Springs, La., 9 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Maurice Chauvin, her parents, Robert W. May and Ettie Dunnaway May Smith, and her sister Lois Allison. Special thanks for the loving care provided by Dr. Jeffery Burnham, Dr. Gerald Calegan, Hospice In His Care, especially Brenda McKenzie, Pierre Baker and Brother Danny Leblanc. In celebration of her heavenly arrival visitation will be at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home, 216 Alabama St., Bogalusa, La. from 10:30 am until Funeral services at 1 pm Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, officiated by her great-grandson Reverend John M. Egbert. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Louisiana Baptist Children's Home in Monroe, La.
