William J. "Bill" Guillot, Sr., of Gretna, La., passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Bill was the loving husband of Deanna D. Guillot. He was the devoted father of Marlene Guillot, William J. Guillot, Jr. (Annette), Craig J. Guillot (Jeanette), Melanie Thome (Steve), Monica English (Dale), Cindy F. Brown (Lloyd), Lisa A. Ford (Al), Jill Guillot (Joey), Dalton J. Guillot, Logan S. Pomeroy, and the late Caldon J. Ford, III. Grandfather of 14, as well as great-grandfather of 14. Also survived by one sister, Millie Pitre. Bill worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for most of his life. A native of Thibodaux, and resident of the Westbank for over 50 years. He was a U.S Army Veteran of the Korean War. Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial from Westside Leitz-Eagan, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Friday Morning, July 5, 2013 at 11:00. Visitation will begin at 9:00. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum, Westwego. An online guestbook is available at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
