Our dear Moe entered into rest after 82 years, going home to the Lord on Saturday morning, July 20, 2013 at 3:30. Moe was a very loving and dedicated husband who will be missed dearly by his wife of 60 years, Joan Franz Barbot. He was a wonderful father whose memories will be cherished by his four children, Chris Barbot (Cindy), Linda Blaché (Alan), Brenda Flynn (Kenny) and Beverly Roberts (Steve). Pone/grandpa was a caring and generous grandfather to 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Moe was welcomed home by his mother and father, Carmelitte and Charles Barbot, and two brothers, Julius and Wally Barbot. Moe was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie for 55 years. He was a parishioner of St. Philip Neri Church for 50 years and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Moe spent 60 years in banking and retired as a vice president of Regions Bank.
