A resident of Slaughter, Dot passed away Monday, February 3, 2014 at Lane Regional Medical Center. She was 80 and native of Morganza. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Thursday, Feb. 6, from 5-9pm, and on Friday, Feb. 7, from 10am until religious services in the chapel at noon, conducted by Rev. Basil Wicker and Rev. Dewitt "Joey" Guy. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl Ann and Raymond Riles; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Dewitt "Joey" Guy, Dennis and Cynthia Guy, and Michael and Alecia Guy; three sisters, Irene Taylor, Brenda Baker, and Glenda Baker and husband Jimmy; four brothers, Rouney "Sonny" Plaisance, Clyde Plaisance and wife Sarah, Sammy Plaisance and wife Gayle, and Chris Plaisance; 22 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren. Pre- ceded in death by husband, Dewitt David Guy, Sr. Pallbearers are Darrel Guy, Eric Guy, Dale Guy, Ray Guy, Jeff Plaisance, and Alan Peterson. Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Plaisance, Chevy Plaisance, Rodney Smith, and Danny Edmond. Dot attended First Baptist Church of Slaughter.
