A native of Big Cane, LA, and resident of Livonia, LA, he passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at the Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jackson, LA at age 82. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his former wife, Celeste Gremillion Fisher of Livonia; a daughter, Teri Fisher Ducote of Livonia; a son and daughter-in-law, John E. Fisher, II and wife Sandy of Livonia; a sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine Fisher Simpson and husband Floyd of Big Cane, LA; grandchildren, Ryan Sanders and wife Kelly, Michelle Fisher Lane and husband Michael, Aaron Fisher and wife Jessica, Darren Fisher and wife Brooke; great grandchildren, Shelbi Sanders, Makenzy Sanders, Marissia Lane, Michael Lane Jr., Mason Lane, Eliana Fisher, Kayleigh Fisher. Preceded in death by parents, Ranuel and Callie Fisher; sister, Martha Fisher, and son-in-law, Ricky Ducote. Pallbearers are Ryan Sanders, Aaron and Darren Fisher, Andy Vidrine, Huey Guerin Jr., and Tommy Boudreaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Hadley, Don James Hadley Jr., and Andrew Boudreaux. Visitation will be at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Livonia on Monday, March 3, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Entombment in St. Frances Cabrini Mausoleum.
