A native of Breaux Bridge and resident of Prairieville, Mary Evelyn died Monday, March 3, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. She was 92 and a retired American Bank teller. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Friday, March 7, from 5 pm until 8 pm with recitation of the Rosary at 6 pm. Visiting will resume on Saturday, March 8, at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church from 8 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am celebrated by the Rev. Nicholas J. "Jack" Nutter III. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by her five sons and daughters-in-law, Edward A. and Karen Wax Schmitt, Philip R. and Barbara Blackwell Schmitt, William F., Jr. and Rebecca Thibodeaux Schmitt, Richard A. and Mary Kay Naquin Schmitt and Donald G. and DeLynn Lane Schmitt; a brother, Lee Guidry; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandsons-in-law. Mary Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, William F.
