Ronald Fabian Amedee, Sr. passed away at 2:54 AM Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at St. Joseph's Carpenter House at the age of 79. He was born September 2, 1934 in Baton Rouge and was a resident of Central. Visitation will be held at St. Alphonsus Ligouri Catholic Church on Friday, March 7, 2014 from 9:30 AM until the Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM conducted by Father Mike Moroney. Survived by his daughters, Laurie Amedee Martin and husband Glendon and Leslie Amedee Landry and husband Rodney; sons, Ronald F. Amedee, Jr. and wife Teri and Randall P. Amedee; 10 grandchildren, Jill, Travis, Elliott, Emilye, Hunter, Christian, Archer, Luke, Brock and Blake; 1 great-grandchild, Jackson; sisters-in-law, Jimmy Lamy, Janet LeJeune, and Caroline Lamy; brothers-in-law, Michael Lamy and wife, Helen, and Stephen Lamy and wife, Susan; former daughter-in-law, Melva Amedee and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Lamy Amedee; his parents, Leonard and Edith Morgan Amedee; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward T. Lamy, Sr. and Vera A. Lamy; sister and brother-in-law, Gloria A. and Jode Cox; Brothers-in-law, Edward T. Lamy, Jr. and George R. Lamy; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Vera A. and Gaylord Huffman. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Ligouri Catholic Church in Greenwell Springs. His passion was golfing with his buddies. But above all, he was a devoted husband and cared for his wife through her many illnesses. He was always available to help family and friends with a servant's heart, and everyone always called him "Saint Ronnie". In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the .
