Memorial services will be conducted for Douglas L. Gordon, Jr., age 65, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home (825 Government Street) in Baton Rouge, LA. Visitation will be held before the service from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM. Internment will be held privately at Roselawn Cemetery. Douglas died peacefully on February 1, 2014, at his home in Crestwood, MO. He is survived by his daughter, Vanessa G. Bisaha (Trevor) of Gilbert, AZ; son, Jeremy A. Gordon (Katie) of Phoenix, AZ; stepmother, Florence V. Gordon of Baton Rouge, LA; sister, Pamela G. Lauman (Paul) of New Castle, CO; brothers, Stephen V. Gordon (Sheila) and Stewart T. Gordon (Cricket) all of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Abigail, Elijah, and Natalie; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas L. Gordon, M.D. and Betty B. Gordon. Douglas attended Tulane University before serving in the U.S. Army from 1968-1972. He received a Bachelor of Science from Evangel College in Springfield, MO in 1976. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice. Doug was a wonderful childhood friend. We lived down the street from each other and often walked home from school at Walnut Hills. My sympathies to the family.
