M. Dean Landry Obituary
M. Dean Landry, 86, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014. A native of Crossett, AR and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Dean retired as a Registered Nurse after 50 years of service. She enjoyed playing bridge, flower gardening, animals and dearly loved her family and friends. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Dean is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Landry, Sr.; daughter, Sara Beth "Rusti" Hiatt White; stepson, Ronald J. Landry, Jr.; brothers, Jerry Don Evans and wife Virginia, and Douglas Sims Evans and wife Pat; daughter-in-law, Paige Hiatt and; grandchildren, Scott Benson and wife Elizabeth, Blake Hiatt, Rylan Dean Hiatt, Jessica LeSaicherre, Caroline Landry, Phillip Landry, Andrew Landry, Jessie Anthony, Justin Landry, Jennifer Anthony and Courtney Anthony; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father, James Milton Middlebrooks; mother, Willie Morris Jeffcoats Middlebrooks Evans; stepfather, Joseph Carl Evans; sister, Marcielle Pruitt; daughter, Susan Anne Hiatt; son, Brett Allen Hiatt; infant son, George W. Hiatt III; stepchildren, Mike Landry, Linda Landry, and Larry Landry; and first husband, George Walter Hiatt, Jr. Visiting will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Monday, March 17, 2014 from 5 pm to 8 pm and will resume on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Lane, from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am, conducted by Reverend Jerry Martin.
