An Army veteran, she died at age 77 on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at her home. She was a native of Detroit, Mich., and a resident of Fort Wayne, Ind. She was a registered nurse. Visitation is 2-6 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2014, at A. Wesley's Funeral Home, 10810 Ventress Dr., Maringouin, La. Religious service is at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the funeral home, conducted by Rev. M. Touissaint. Interment in St. Peter Church Cemetery. Survivors: a daughter: Rengg Bass; 4 grandchildren: Brian Robinson & Wife Champail; Shamar Compton; Andrew Scott & Adriana Scott; 5 great-grandchildren: Christian Robinson; Brian Jr; Mya; M'ryah & Peighton; other relatives & friends including Bobbie Baise, Demi Voris,; John Woolfolk, Herbert Woolfolk & Freddie Wesley. Preceded in death by her daughter Leondra Wesley, husband Lester Banks, parents Edward & Dorthy Matirne Nichols. A. Wesley's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements, 225 -625-2383.
