A beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and Sixty Six Year Member of Ironworker Local #623 departed this life at 12:30 PM on Wednesday March 19, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center at age 89. He was a native and resident of Fordoche. He was U.S. Army WW II Veteran, having served in Germany and France in the Service Battery, 725th Field Artillery Battalion. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Paulette Villere and husband Carl of Fordoche; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Terry Trubon and wife Karen of Fordoche, Douglas Trubon and Denise Witty of Fordoche; one sister, Mary Benedict of Fordoche; one brother, Vincent Trabona of Livonia; grandchildren, Carl Wayne Villere and Micah Villere, Paul David Trubon and Jonalyn Trubon, Katina Trabona; step-grandchildren, Chad Collette and Seth Thomas; and eight great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Lois Bertrand Trubon; parents, Lewis and Katherine Pizzolato Trubon; half-brothers, Tony, Joe, Carlo, Sam, Henry and Johnny Collette. Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Niland Funeral Home in Livonia on Friday March 21, 2014 from 8 am until Religious Service in the funeral home parlor at 2 pm., conducted by Rev. Gary Mitchell. Interment in St. Francis Cabrini Cemetery in Livonia. Special thanks to his caregivers Ida Vance, Vanessa Jarreau and Aoria Watkins. Also to Special Friend Allen Sherrill, Dr. Craig Greene.
