A very special lady has gained her angel wings. Our loving wife, mother and grandmother Dora "Dee" Stilley Jones departed from this life on Wednesday Morning, March 19, 2014 at Flannery Oaks Guest House just five days short of her 90th birthday. Dora "Dee" was born in Pascagoula, MS on March 24, 1924 to the union of Franklin Dupree and Dora Purvis Stilley. She was of the Baptist Faith, having been a former member of Salem Baptist Church. Dee was a homemaker who had a passion for music. She played both the piano and the guitar. She will always be remembered for being a wonderful cook and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her greatest love of all was her family. A ceremony celebrating the life of Dora "Dee" will be 11 am Saturday at the chapel of Seale Funeral Home; visitation will be Friday 6 pm until 9 pm and will resume at 10 am Saturday until the time of the service; internment will follow at Salem Cemetery. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Vernon H. Jones Sr. and her sister, Mavis Carroll. Survivors include her children V. J. Jones and wife Glenda, Humbert Jones, Elaine Leibenguth and Alan Jones; grandchildren Angela "Missy" Jones Clark, Brent Jones, Cherie Jones Odom, Seth Jones, Allyson Jones Crowe, Jennifer Jones, Kyle and Chase Leibenguth; also survived by 21 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
