William Hayes Alleman's brief journey in this life ended much too soon on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Though we were only privileged with his infectious smile and twinkling blue eyes for a mere 18 months, Will left an indelible imprint on this Earth. He has joined his Holy Father and angels in Heaven, but his precious memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Will joyfully entered this world, accompanied by his best friend and twin sister, CECE, in the adoring arms of his parents on September 26, 2012. From his very first moments, Will was the light of his parents' lives, filling their home with heartfelt belly laughs and precious hugs and kisses. He, along with his partner in mischief, CECE, spent countless hours together exploring the wonders of the world around them and delighting in the unexpected. Will enjoyed playing outside and reading his books. He will be remembered most for his love of cuddles and his enthusiasm of life. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014 at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist for William Hayes Alleman, 18 months old, who died on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Women's and Children's Hospital surrounded by his family. Entombment will be in St. John Cemetery Mausoleum in Lafayette. Reverend Chester Arceneaux, Rector of Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Mike Foreman and Barbara Ortego. Giftbearers will be Karen McCardle and Whitney Alleman. Musical selections will be, "Ave Maria," "Be Not Afraid," "Here I Am Lord," and "Amazing Grace." He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Jake and Katie Ortego Alleman; his sister, CECE Alleman; his maternal grandparents, John and Laura Ortego; his paternal grandparents, Darrell and Sylvia Alleman; his paternal great grandparents, Paul and Lucille Foreman; and his two aunts, Karen McCardle and her husband, Lance and their children, Thomas and Peter McCardle, and Whitney Mcehe, and her husband, Flint and their children, Caiden, Aizlyn and Jack Meche. He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, Jack and Mickey Christensen; his maternal great grandparents, Douglas and Ada Ortego; and his paternal great grandparents, Joe and Wilma Alleman. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you hold your children just a bit more tightly today, read one extra story at bedtime and remember their family and precious Will in your evening prayers. Our world has been forever blessed because this precious angel graced our lives. Pallbearers will be Cody Gielen, Keith Saltzman, Flint Meche and Lance McCardle. A Rosary will be recited by Reverend Chester Arceneaux on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN Location. The family requests that visitation be observed on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of services.
