Eleanor Blackwell Oliver, a resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 5:15 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014, at her home. She was 85 and a native Repton, AL. She was a graduate of Louisiana State University with a BA in Education and was a 5th grade teacher at Episcopal High School, Baton Rouge (1969-1989). Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014. Visiting resumes Friday, April 4, 2014 at University Baptist Church, Baton Rouge 9:30 a.m. until religious services at 10:30 a.m. Services will be conducted by Dr. George Haile. Entombment will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Eleanor is survived her daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Sondra Oliver and Charles I. MacVicar of Baltimore, MD; son, Dennis E. Oliver of Baton Rouge; Two grandsons, Joseph Brian Oliver and Zachary Douglas Oliver, both of Baton Rouge; a sister, Mary Alice Kyser of Mobile, AL. Eleanor is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Abe Oliver; parents, Lumon Frank and Bessie Clark Blackwell; brother, Hughie R. Blackwell; sisters, Claudia Blackwell Marshall, Ruby Blackwell Baggett and Ethelyn Blackwell. Pallbearers will be J.
