James E. Turner, 67, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014. A native of Atlanta, Ga., and a long time resident of Central, he was an Army veteran and a foreman at Turner Industries. He is survived by a daughter, Alicia Schmidt; a son Troy A. Turner; grandchildren, Maranda Schmidt, Dalton Schmidt, Matthew Turner and Ben Nelson; and a great-grandchild, Abram Nelson. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jo Knight; wife, Judy Lee Turner; and son, Richard H. Turner. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, April 8, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park on Wednesday, April 9, at 11 a.m. The family wishes to thank the St. Joseph Carpenter House for their loving care.
