A ceremony celebrating the life of Mr. William "Sonny" "Doc" Watkins Jr will be 7 pm Friday at the chapel of Seale Funeral Home; visitation will be Friday 5 pm until 8 pm. Mr. Watkins was born in Crossett, Arkansas on Dec 1, 1942 to the union of William Norwood Sr and Mary Ida Gee Watkins and departed from this life on Tuesday morning April 22, 2014 at his home in Denham Springs at the age of 71 years. He was retired with Dow Chemical Plant as a supervisor; a member of the Baptist Faith; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, horse racing and playing poker with friends; an avid sports fan especially the Arkansas Razor Backs; his passion was his family. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Janice Ann Watkins. Survivors include his wife of 47 years Vicky LeBlanc Watkins; children William Kyle Watkins (Monica), Andre Watkins (Jessica Gros), Wendy Holladay (Jim); siblings Sam Watkins (Toni), Brenda LaFleur (David); grandchildren Jamie, Megan, Jacob, Sidney, Andrea, Destiny and Britiny; also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
