A native and resident of Baton Rouge, LA entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Baton Rouge General Mid-City. He was 38 and a self employed plaster. Visiting Thursday, April 24, 5-7 P.M. at A. Hamilton Platinum Funeral Home, 2055 Wooddale Blvd, Baton Rouge, and from 8 a.m. until Homegoing Celebration Services at Rose Hill Baptist Church, 3765 N. Acadian Thruway at 10 A.M., Friday, April 25. Interment Thomas Chapel Cemetery, Baker. His memories shall be forever cherished by his parents, Alicia Olive Smith-Deoroson, Layneil, Sr. and Betty Thomas, fiancé, Sharon Jones, two brothers, Demara Earnest, and Lamond (April) Perkins; one sister, Victoria Thomas; maternal grandmother, Doretha Smith; six aunts, five uncles, a goddaughter, and a host of cousins, others relatives, and friends.
