The family and friends of Clinvin Jones, 95, are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called by his heavenly father at Bayou Chateau Nursing Center on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Mohorn Missionary Baptist Church in Plaisance, Louisiana, with Reverend Nicholas Thomas officiating. Clinvin was born in Plaisance, Louisiana to the late Ike Jones and Virella Sias-Jones, on January 24, 1919. He entered into holy matrimony with Letha Leday-Jones: to this union four children (two sons and two daughters) were born, Earlene, Warren, Earl and Eva Jane. Clinvin was baptized at an early age by the late Reverend S.A. Crowder at Mohorn Missionary Baptist Church. Clinvin "The Boudin Man" Jones was a generous, loving husband, father, brother, son, and friend to all. He will be truly missed by everyone who was blessed to have him in their lives. Clinvin now rests in heaven with his beloved family who has preceded him in death: his wife, Letha Leday-Jones, father, mother, four brothers, four sisters, two daughters (Earlene Elizabeth Jones-Thierry and Eva Jane Jones), one grandson, and his second wife, Ester "Tee-Lee" Jones. Mourning Clinvin's departure, yet cherishing his memories are: three sons, Warren (Joyce) Jones, Earl (Ora) Jones, and Earl Ray Jones; one daughter, Linda Jones; one special son-in-law, Arthur Lee "Buddy" Thierry; brother-in-law, Lacey Aaron; sister-in-law, Frances Murphy-Leday; a special grandson, Patrick James Nimer Jones; a long time special friend, Ruby Nell Denton; 16 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Mohorn Missionary Baptist Church with the funeral to follow. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Ford and Joseph Funeral Home of Opelousas.

Willie Nimer
To Mr. Clinvin Jones Family, my thoughts and Prayers are with you. I grew up working every weekend making boudain with Mr. Clinvin. It helped me to establish my accountability, responsibility, and a solid code of work ethics. I left there and served in the US Marine Corps for 22 Years earning the Rank of MGySgt (E-9). May God comfort each of you during time of grief. MGySgt Willie "Bill" Nimer.
