Mary Dorothy (Dotty) Nunn Canzonire, beloved wife of Jack Lee Canzonire passed away at Baton Rouge General Hospital on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the age of 77. We would have been married 49 years May 1. Dotty will be missed by all who knew her and by many who loved her so much. In addition to Jack, she is survived by her children, Robert Todd Canzonire and his wife Linda Rees Canzonire of Baton Rouge and Claudine Ellen Canzonire Moore and her husband Gene Moore of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Dawn Thalia Simonson, Brittney, Todd, Randy and Grant Canzonire, her sister, Leah Mary Nunn Weis and her husband Harold and several nieces and nephews.. Dotty was preceded in death by her parents, Leah Hennessey Nunn and Walter M. Nunn, Sr.; three brothers, Billy, Buddy and Jackie Nunn. Dotty, a New Orleans native, was a graduate of Academy of Holy Angels and a former student of Sister Jane. She received an AS from McNeese Business College and a BS from New York State University. She served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Thomas More Church and was a retired secretary for the U. S. Border Patrol in Baton Rouge. All are invited to visit with the family at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St., New Orleans on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 between the hours of 5PM and 8PM. Family and friends are also invited to attend the Funeral Mass St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11441 Goodwood Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70115 on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 11 a.m. with visitation a St. Thomas More beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Green Oaks Cemetery, Baton Rouge, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, 10528 Kentshire Ct., Baton Rouge, LA 70810, preferred. Condolences may be expressed online at awww.schoencanalstreet.com.
