A native of Milwaukee, WI and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday morning, April 30, 2014. He was 77. He is survived by his twin brother, James F. Wanicek of New Berlin, WI, and was preceded in death by his parents, John Frank Wanicek and Emma Stanek Wanicek. Jerome was a long time member of Family Worship Center, Jimmy Swaggart Ministries and relocated here from the Midwest to be a part of the church. Jerome was a fan of vintage cars. He was a wildlife conservationist and loved to cite various facts about the Appalachian Trail. His one regret was that he never hiked the trail. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jerome's life on Saturday, May 17th at 11am, in the 2nd Floor Chapel of the World Evangelism Bible College Building, 7320 Bluebonnet Boulevard. Memorial donations may be made in Jerome's name to Sonlife Broadcasting Network, www.sonlifetv.com.
