A loving mother and grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the age of 84. She was a resident of Gonzales. Rita graduated Dutchtown High School in 1948 at the top of her class. She enjoyed music, dancing, bingo, praying her Rosary, and competed in the Senior Olympics. She is survived by her daughter, Rita Faye Elisar; sons, Archie J. Molliere and wife, Gwen and Rubin J. Molliere and wife, Gloria; brothers, Oscar "Rocky" Frederic, Paul Frederic and Rene J. Mason, Jr.; three grandchildren, Kelly and Damon Molliere and Chris Fontenot; six great grandchildren, Josie, Blaiz and Levi Molliere and Haley, Carley and Cade Fontenot. She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris "Noonie" Frederic and Frances Frederic; brother, Earl Mason; and her granddaughter, Kandice Molliere. Visiting will be at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 12:00 pm until Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 pm. Burial to follow in Hope Haven Mausoleum, Prairieville. Pallbearers will be Kelly Paul Molliere, Damon Molliere, Chris Fontenot, Johnny Babin, Mike Melancon, and Larry Harris. Please offer your condolences to the family at www.oursofh.com.
