Helen Aime Milazzo, 88, was born in Springfield and was a 53 year resident of Baton Rouge and most recently of Denham Springs, LA. She passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. She retired after 25 years with Sears in the credit department. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and having an all-around good time. Helen is survived by her daughters: Kathleen Bates Boeta, and Donna Milazzo Newman and husband Richard; grandchildren: Kevin Boeta and wife Vanessa, Brad Boeta, Eric Newman and wife Rachel, and Julie Newman Toler and husband David; 8 great grandchildren; step-son Daniel Milazzo and wife Carolyn; step-grandsons Mitch Milazzo, and Tim Milazzo and wife Joey; and 2 step-great grandchildren; half-sister Bernadine Worsham Lawrence and half-brothers Marion J. Aime, David L. Aime, and James E. Aime. She is preceded in death by her husband Ignatius J. Milazzo, Jr.; son-in-law Stephen J Boeta; father James L. Aime, Jr., mother Josephine Brown Aime Worsham; step-mother Rose Aime; half siblings: Ruth Aime Millet and Melvin L. Aime; and sister Dorothy Aime Aydell. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 10am until service time at 12pm. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the friends and staff of La Plantation Retirement Community in Denham Springs and the Carpenter House & St. Joseph Hospice.
