A resident of Jackson, and a native of St. Francisville, he died Wednesday, May 14th, 4:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 84 and a retired Bus Driver and Cement Finisher. He was also a United States Army Veteran having received the Korean Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal. Visitation will be on Friday, May 23rd, 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM followed by Religious Service at 11:00 AM at Sherobee Baptist Church, 10064 Jones Vaughn Creek Rd., St. Francisville, LA., conducted by Prophet Milton Coates. Interment will be in the Louisiana National Cemetery. He is survived by daughters; Margery Young, Dorcas Young Williams and Irma Martin, Sons; Andrew Young, Jr., Louis Young and a child that he reared, Alfred Sullivan, Sisters; Rebecca Haley, Anna Bell Young, Edith O'Neal and Willie Mae Young, Grandchildren; Renee, Renior, Gregory, Jr., Kimberly, Nicole, Anthony, Andrew, III, Keontra, Damien, Deneishat and Dominic. He was preceded in death by his wife; Bertha Bolden Young, Parents; Edward and Ada Young, three brothers and five sisters.
