Mildred Weinedel Yager was born August 30, 1913, in Louisville, KY, and passed away June 4, 2014 in Baton Rouge, LA at the age of 100. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two years, Carl Baringer Yager, her parents, and two sisters, Elizabeth Akins, and Virginia Richner. She is survived by her sons, Robert Hughes Yager and fiance, Jeanie, of Mesa, AZ, and John Richard Yager and wife Janice of Minden, LA. She is also survived by four grandchildren that she adored, Erin Deconcini and husband Jeff, and Casey Yager and Sara all of Tuscan, AZ, Kyle Yager and Tessa and Kiira Yager and Kent, all of Mesa, AZ. Also surviving her are three precious great-grandchildren, Tyler and Olivia Deconcini, and Dylan Yager, whose visits were the highlight of her life and whose lives she loved to hear about. She is also survived by two nephews, Dick and Bill Akins, her dearest friend, Shirley Lloyd, and her long time companion and care giver, Toni Ben. She was a long time member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class at Broadmoor Methodist Church, and a fifty-five year Golden Member of the PEO. Services will be held Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Rabenhorst East Funeral Home, 11000 Florida Blvd., at 11 am. With Pastor Ken Carroll officiating. Burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery, Louisville, KY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Broadmoor Methodist Church, 10230 Mollylea Dr., Baton Rouge, LA or the donors choice.
