Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Progressive Baptist Church for Barbara J. Wiltz, 75, who died June 12, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Services will be conducted by Pastor Lloyd Joiner, Jr. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Barbara is survived by her devoted husband, Martin; two daughters, Debbie W. Francis (Michael) and Lisa Williams (Lincoln Granger); one step daughter, Linda "Cookie" Watson (Randy); four sisters, Clara Simmons, Joyce Bonnet, Earline (Joe) Mouton, Donna Gail Simmons, all of Lafayette, LA; three brothers, Raymond (Gene) Simmons, Leon and Girouard Simmons, all of Lafayette, LA; eight grandchildren, Leon Isaac and Kevin Adwood Williams of Seattle, WA, Jacob and Joseph Williams of Jackson, MS, Cynenthia Lewis of Columbus, OH, Brooke W. Francis (Duraelle), Chase and Victoria Williams, all of Lafayette, LA. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Eunice and Victor Simmons; one son, Roman "Nunny" Williams, Jr.; three brothers, Victor, Michael and Carl Simmons; one sister, Dianna Etienne; two grandchildren, Alicia Joy and Martel James Williams; two sisters-in-law, Bernadette and Mary Simmons and one great niece, Tanika Caillier. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Castille, Our Lady of Lourdes ICU, Korita Phillips and Rose Babin. Visitation will be held Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Progressive Baptist Church beginning at 7:00 a.m. until time of services.
