James "Jim" Madison Davis, 72, was a resident of Slaughter, LA and born in Baton Rouge. He Died on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Lane Regional Medical Center. Jim was retired from the East Baton Rouge Clerk of Court's office. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary on Wednesday, June 25, 2015 from 9:00 am until service time at 11:00 am conducted by Rev. Betty McCarver. Burial will be in Star Hill Cemetery in St. Francisville. Jim was the son of Marie Virginia Daniel Davis and Charles Code Davis and brother of Nina Louise Davis. He was a graduate of LSU with a master's degree in Medical and a master's degree in law. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Slaughter United Methodist Church.
