Edward "Tini" Purpera, 74, a resident of Innis passed away on Tuesday June 17, 2014. He was a loving father, grandfather, good man and friend to all. Tini was retired from Angola State Penitentiary and a grass cutter to many. He was also a United States Army veteran. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Innis. Celebrated by Fr. Lee. He was survived by two daughters, Wendy Purpera and Kelly Purpera LeBlanc; three sons, Edward "Chip" Purpera, Thomas Brady Purpera and Mitchell Joseph Purpera; one brother J.V. Purpera; six grandchildren, Edward Lucas Purpera, Victoria "Tori" Luter, Logan Purpera, Chelsea Purpera, Riley Hance and Cooper Hance. He is also survived by one great granddaughter, Addison Grace Bedell. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ruby and Vincent J. Purpera.
