Funeral services will be conducted for E.J. Comeaux Sr., 90, at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with Father Mario Romero officiating. Burial will follow in the Nativity of Our Lady Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 8:00 AM until service. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Wednesday at 6:30 PM. A native of Morgan City and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Comeaux died on Monday, July 14, 2014, at 7:03 PM at his residence. He retired from Shell Oil Company after 38 years of employment. He is survived by his son, Butch Comeaux and his wife Cindy of New Iberia; his daughter, Wanda Thomas and her husband Fred of Delaware, OH; one sister; six grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emile Joseph Comeaux, Elise Morgan Comeaux; four brothers; four sisters and a grandson, Warren Thomas. Pallbearers will be Evans Comeaux, Todd Thomas, Mark Thomas, Jake Delcambre, Irvin Davis and Charles Abshire. You can sign the guest register book and/or send condolences at www.davidfuneralhome.org.
