She passed away Friday morning, July 18, 2014, at home. She was 48. Born in Winnfield, she was a resident of Baton Rouge. She was an alumna of Southern University (class of 1989) and ITI. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and Jack & Jill of America Inc. Funeral services will be held at Greater King David Baptist Church, 222 Blount Rd., on Thursday, July 24, 2014. Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; at 11:30 a.m., Delta Sigma Theta will hold a service; Jack & Jill will conduct a service at noon. The Rev. Sargent Nelson will conduct the religious service at 1 p.m. Thursday. Scott's Bluff Morticians in charge of arrangements. Survivors include her husband, Thaddeus Acox; mother, Beatrice Martin; son Camron Acox; sisters Cynthia (Daniel) Hammond and Gretchen Durham; and brother Reginald (Betty) Durham. She was preceded in death by her father, Willie J. Durham.
