Joseph Magnolia, 91, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. He was retired from Plumbers Steamfitters Local 198. He enjoyed building and working with wood as a building contractor. He served in World War II in the Army in Germany. Joseph also enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening in his earlier years but family was always the most important thing to him. He is survived by his son Raymond Magnolia and wife Debbie Verrett; brother Steve magnolia and wife Hazel; sister Frances Diez; grandson Joseph E Magnolia; and two great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Dillon Magnolia. He is preceded in death by his wife Ruby Bell Magnolia; his parents Sam and Mary Magnolia; and sisters Catherine White and Rose Bransetter. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 6pm until 8pm and will continue on Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 1pm until time of service at 2pm. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jack Alderman, Frank Leteff, Bobby Bransetter, Steve Magnolia, Joseph E Magnolia, and Dillon Magnolia.
