A native of Ohio and a resident of St. Amant, he passed away due to natural causes at his home at 7:20am on Friday, August 1, 2014. He was 54 years old and an Industrial Arts teacher. Visitation will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 502 Highway 30, Gonzales LA 70737, from 11:00am until memorial service at 1:00pm on Saturday, August 9, 2014. Funeral service will be conducted by Bishop Dave Bonham. He is survived by the mother of his son, Dinah Emrich; son, Steven Emrich & wife, Sarah; sisters, Vickie Hagar & husband Eddie, and Tracey Young & husband Tim; brother, Joseph Emrich & wife Marlene; granddaughter, Melannie Emrich; and another grandbaby on the way. He graduated from Hilliard High School, and then received his Bachelor of Science in Education from The Ohio State University. He was a mentor and was an Industrial Arts teacher at St. Amant High School from 1984 - 2000. He enjoyed fishing, baseball, hunting, camping, and he loved classic rock concerts. So very sorry to here of Craig's passing. Was a great friend and an outstanding teacher. Craig was my I.A. Instructor for 2 years (1985 & 1986). I still have my awards, pictures and even my project build from the State I.A. Convention. Craig was one who always wanted to get involved with every project and push you to make it better.
God Bless all family & friends left behind... We'll remember Craig always!
