Alma Piazza Risley passed away peacefully Wednesday morning August 6, 2014 surrounded by family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Catherina Piazza, who were originally from Sicily, Italy, and resided in Madison, Wisc.; two brothers, Sam and Joe Piazza, of Madison, Wisc.; her husband: Ray R. Risley, originally from Madison Wisc. and resided in Baton Rouge, LA. She is survived by a Daughter, Toni Christenson and Gene from Sturgeon Bay, Wisc.; a son, Rick Risley, and daughter-in-law. Kay Risley, both of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Kelly Janda, and husband David, of Stoughton, Wisc., Jason N. Risley and wife Angie of Baton Rouge, Raymond R. Risley III and wife Sara; six great-grandchildren, Peter and Ellen Janda of Wisc., Morgan and Avery Risley of Baton Rouge, Amykay and Raymond R. Risley IV of Mich. She was retired from the EBR Parish School System, and a founding member of The Sweet Adelines Organization, of Baton Rouge, also had many hours of voluntary work at Our Lady of The Lake as well as the Baton Rouge General Hospitals. She enjoyed singing and was an accomplished artist. Special thanks to Shannon and Madeline, of Bridgeway Hospice and McKenzie Hunter for their excellent care. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East chapel, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Saturday, August 9, 2014 from noon until religious services at 2 pm conducted by Deacon Matthew Graham.
