Helen passed away at her home in Plaquemine on August 5, 2014 at 1:20 a.m. at the age of 67. She was a retired Deli Associate at Winn Dixie on Burbank and Lee and then was a cake decorator at Creative Cakes by Vicki in Plaquemine. A memorial service will be held at Victory Baptist Church, 58020 Robertson Street, Plaquemine on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 1 p.m., conducted by Rev. Donald Ray. Helen is survived by her daughter and son, Alicia Kearney and husband Roger of Addis and Allen Bevens Jr. and wife Kelly of Walker; her 2 adopted daughters, Mary Ellen Bevens of Plaquemine and Doris Nguyen of New Jersey; three sisters, Sylvia Russell, Elizabeth Jackson, Bonita Trombley; four brothers, Randy, Steven, Jim and Thomas Trombley, 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Allen "Yankee" F. Bevens Sr.; parents, Raymond and Freda Trombley; five brothers, Richard, Lawrence, Gerald, Raymond and Francis Trombley.
